FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A joint operation between the U.S. Marshal Service in Florida and a task force in Tennessee led to the arrest of a man wanted for sex crimes against children.

According to the U.S. Marshal Service, an investigation out of Hernando County, Florida, led agents to 44-year-old Andrew Paul Johnson.

A warrant for his arrest was issued on August 18.

The Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force requested help from the U.S. Marshals Service Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force when it learned Johnson was living in Franklin, Tennessee.

The Tennessee task force located him at a business on Murfreesboro Road, and he was taken into custody without incident, according to the release.
