NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - More safety measures could soon be coming to sports venues throughout Nashville.
Plans were revealed during the Metro’s Sports Authority meeting in late August.
They are considering purchasing additional mobile barricades for local sports venues.
“When they’re closed, sometimes they’re not always closed in such a way that would prevent vehicular traffic from getting in there, with anything other than a wooden barricade,” Russ Pulley of the Metro Sports Authority explained.
Pulley has been consulting with Metro Police and claims they have a shortage of bollards.
Despite that, a department spokesperson says they are equipped to handle large-scale events and would accept more, which puts sports fans at ease.
