EAST TAWAS – More than 100 hospitality and tourism leaders from across the state will gather in East Tawas over a two-day period this coming month, for the annual Michigan Cares for Tourism (MC4T) volunteer clean-up and preservation event.

Individuals will arrive in town on Sunday, Sept. 14, where they will participate in a series of familiarization “fam” trip activities, including pedaling along the Huron Shores Recreational Heritage Route, paddling the AuSable River, a birding hike with the AuSable Valley Audubon and plein air painting at Tawas Point State Park. This will be followed by a welcome reception at Harbor Park, overlooking Lake Huron.
