The Kansas City Chiefs are sculpting their roster with hopes of getting back to the Super Bowl.

With NFL cutdown day arriving Tuesday, a former New England Patriots second-rounder is counting his lucky stars, and the Chiefs are the reason why.

Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz , wide receiver Tyquan Thornton has made the 53-man roster in Kansas City.

“#Chiefs WR Tyquan Thornton, the former #Patriots 2nd-round pick, has made Kansas City’s 53-man roster, per multiple sources,” Schultz reported.

“Thornton, who has 4.28 speed, spent last year on the practice squad, impressed in camp and preseason, and is now poised to have a role in the offense with Patrick Mahomes.”
