MENOMINEE COUNTY, MI – An 85-year-old Michigan man is dead after three-vehicle crash in involving an SUV and two pickup trucks.

According to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on County Road 577 near the intersection of Number 2 Road at 12:08 p.m. on Aug. 24.

Witnesses reported that the driver of an SUV, identified as 85-year-old Gary G. Nyman of Menominee Township, crossed into the northbound lane of traffic and struck two oncoming pickup trucks, one of which was pulling a camper.

Nyman was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said, while the drivers of the trucks suffered minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation with assistance from the Michigan State Police.
