WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Authorities arrested a D.C. man at a San Francisco airport for having child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).
The U.S. Attorney's Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia announced Tuesday that 42-year-old Hershel Andrew Green, III, was arrested at San Francisco International Airport on Aug. 24. He is facing charges for possessing and distributing CSAM.
The USAO said that during an investigation, agents found online communications between Green and someone else related to sexually abusing children. Green both received and distributed "images and videos that included the sexual abuse of prepubescent children."
Officials said that Hershel will make his first court appearance on Tuesday in San Francisco.
