FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A 12-year NFL veteran was in a Franklin courtroom on Tuesday to take a plea deal in his DUI case from October 2024.

A Williamson County judge accepted a guilty plea from 42-year-old Jay Cutler and his attorneys on Tuesday morning.

Cutler was arrested on October 17, 2024, after he rear-ended a blue GMC with his white Dodge Ram truck on Bridge Street.

The arrest affidavit from the Franklin Police Department described Cutler as visibly intoxicated and stated that he offered the other driver $2,000 to not call the police and to let him drive away.
