State authorities have arrested a 20-year-old Thomson woman in a double-shooting that killed one of the victims. Additional arrests are expected.
Santanna Mance has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in the death of D'Corby Benning, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Monday.
Mance was booked into the McDuffie County Jail on Aug. 22.
About 11 p.m. Aug. 17, Thomson police officers checking a 911 call reporting shots fired in the city's 400 block of Edgar Circle found the aftermath of what investigators say was a drive-by shooting.
