GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The city of La Crosse is suing manufacturers that include Oshkosh Corp. over an alleged price-fixing conspiracy involving fire trucks.

The class action suit was filed last Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

The complaint alleges that the manufacturers REV Group, Inc., Oshkosh Corporation, Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., Rosenbauer America LLC, along with the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers’ Association (FAMA), conspired to suppress supply and raise prices of fire trucks.

Hagens Berman, the law firm representing the city of La Crosse, said the price of fire trucks have doubled over the last ten years, due largely to the Great Recession. The prices have increased “more than inflation alone can account for,” and wait times for
