Skeletal human remains found on a property in Wautoma

WAUTOMA, Wis. (WBAY) - Skeletal human remains were found on someone’s property in the City of Wautoma on Tuesday afternoon.

Just after noon, Wautoma Police responded to Division Street in the City of Wautoma.

When officers arrived, they spoke with an individual who found skeletal human remains while mowing the property.

The individual’s name is not being released at this time, pending further identification and family notification.

There is no indication of a threat to community safety at this time.

The scene was processed in partnership with the Waushara County Medical Examiner and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Scene Response Team.
