DENVER (KDVR) — It's the most coveted position in football, with fans always hoping to see the next transcendent talent that will take their team to the top — it's the quarterback.

One team whose fans were eagerly awaiting the announcement of the newest quarterback is the University of Colorado Buffaloes, and on Tuesday, those fans got their answer.

Deion Sanders was tasked with replacing former CU star quarterback and son, Shedeur Sanders, who was drafted into the NFL after a standout collegiate career.

With a hole in the position, CU took two approaches to filling the spot.
