The Tennessee Titans were planning to use third-year running back Tyjae Spears more this season, but they must put that on hold.

Spears was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after suffering a high ankle sprain in Tennessee's preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via ESPN's Adam Schefter). The 2023 third-round pick out of Tulane will miss at least the first four games of the season.
