LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Texas Tech basketball will return to a familiar site this December and will take on the Duke Blue Devils once again.

This will be the Red Raiders third matchup against the Blue Devils. In 2018, the two played at Madison Square Garden, where Duke, led by eventual Naismith Player of the year winner Zion Williamson, earned a 69-58 win.

In that same year, Texas Tech ended up in Minneapolis for the Final Four, and played for the national title, falling short of a championship to Virginia.

In 2022, Tech and Duke played again in the Sweet Sixteen round of the tourney in San Francisco. During Mike Krzyzewski’s final season as Duke’s coach, the Blue Devils kept their season alive with a 78-73 win over the Red Raiders.
