LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) -With days to go before the start of the 2025 football season, new and returning players talked about how they’ve improved within their respective position this offseason, and how they can finally focus on Saturday’s season opener against Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

Last year at Miami (Ohio), wide receiver Reggie Virgil accounted for nine touchdowns, and 816 receiving yards. This year, he looks forward to not being double-teamed.

“Playing on a bigger stage with like Coy (Eakin) and CD (Cameron Douglas), all these other good receivers, it’s like it’s very motivating! At Miami. you were bracketed! But if you bracket me here, then we have five and three (others). So, you can’t double-team, or do anything, or we’re going to have a mismatch,” he said.
