Nevadans are about to head into a long weekend with Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1. In an area full of outdoor enthusiasts, many Renoites and Northern Nevadans may be looking for a hike this weekend as the showers turn to clear, sunny skies.
However, if hikers are looking to enjoy trails around Spooner Lake State Park and the Flume Trail — both in the Lake Tahoe area — they may want to rethink their plans, Nevada Public Works said.
The Marlette Lake Dam rehabilitation project is causing trail closures at these areas of Lake Tahoe.
