My niece moved to my city a couple of years ago. I thought, “Great!” She’s only 15 minutes away. I send her texts inviting her to fun events; she always says yes, but when the day comes, something has come up and she cancels. My husband and I adored her, and we spoiled her when she was young. I also have friends who I make arrangements with and they cancel at the last minute, too. I can’t take any more rejection. Please advise me.
