Plan b Restaurants announced Tuesday that they will not be renewing their leases in West Hartford, Hartford, and Springfield.

After nearly two decades on Park Road in West Hartford, Plan b will close for good on Aug. 31, according to an announcement.

Plan b Restaurants said Tuesday in a news release that it plans a “strategic realignment of its footprint,” and will not be renewing leases at three locations – West Hartford, Hartford, and Springfield.

The West Hartford location opened in 2006, and has been a fixture in town and as one of the “Park Road Restaurant Row” dining establishments. The restaurant has won many “best burger” accolades both locally and beyond for their Angus beef burgers, as well as awards for the brand which also focuses on the other “b’s” – craft
