SPOKANE, Wash. - A man was arrested for stabbing a woman in the chest at an apartment complex on East Hawthorne Road on Monday evening.

According to a press release from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived around 7:35 p.m. and found the woman stabbed. She was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Police located a suspect, who was known to the woman, around 7:50 p.m. The man began convulsing in the back of the patrol car, and he was administered Narcan.

The man was taken to the hospital, and then transported to the Spokane County Jail after being medically cleared. He was booked a felony assault charge.
