An 80-year-old man from Cambridge died after being pulled unresponsive from Lake Erie at Port Stanley beach on Friday afternoon, Ontario Provincial Police say.

“ There were some people who pulled him out of the water and performed CPR ( cardiopulmonary resuscitation) ,” Provincial Const. Jeff Beaumaster told The Free Press.

The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
