NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - A Natchitoches man has been accused of waving a gun around on Younger Boulevard on August 25.

The Natchitoches Police Department said officers were called to the area around 1:03 a.m. in regards to someone walking up and down the street while waving around a gun. NPD said Chad Haskins , 32, was found acting erratically and punching in the air as if he was attempting to fight someone. As officers attempted to place him under arrest, NPD said Haskins began to act aggressively towards them and was actively resisting. Officers were eventually able to take him into custody.

NPD said officers located 29 grams of marijuana and fifteen suspected meth pills on him. Also, a Bersa Thunder .380 pistol was located on the ground.
