FERNLEY, Nev. (KOLO) - Three people have been charged in connection with a road rage incident in Fernley.

Just before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, deputies with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported to a reported traffic accident at the Community Response and Resource Center near Lois Lane in Fernley.

Police arrived and found a man, later identified as Ricky Fields, injured.

An investigation found that the incident began as a road rage incident and escalated when bystanders became involved.

During the altercation, multiple individuals brandished weapons, a car was damaged, and Fields sustained injuries that required hospitalization.

Fields was arrested on a charge of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and had his bail set at $121,890.
