For months the Battalion brass have said this training camp will be very competitive. That is kind of a necessity after a down season last year.

John Winstanley is the Battalion’s General Manager and was in the stands at Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens along with other members of the North Bay hockey brain trust watching many players. The training camp is only three days long so that gives Battalion brass a limited time to assess a lot of talent.
