A helicopter crashed into a pond in France while attempting to collect water to fight wildfires.
Dramatic eyewitness video captured the helicopter – a Morane 29 water bomber – descending to the pond to fill a water bucket. The tail of the chopper submerges in the water, causing the helicopter to spin out of control and crash into the pond in Rosporden.
BBC reported there were no fatalities, and the pilot, the officer aboard the helicopter and a witness were taken to a local hospital.
France has battled wildfires over the past few weeks. Earlier this month, the area suffered its biggest wildfire in decades , burning an area larger than Paris and leaving one dead and multiple people injured.
