NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An iconic neon sign along Lower Broadway is now gone.
Hundreds of people came out to celebrate more than 30 years of Jack’s Bar-B-Que and their famous flying pig logo on Tuesday morning.
The massive sign was lowered off the building just a couple of weeks after the restaurant closed and owner Jack Cawthon decided to sell the building to his neighbors, Robert’s Western World.

Cawthon is known for “opening the flood gates for neon” along Lower Broadway when he first opened his restaurant near Riverfront Park in 1991. Jack’s BBQ opened at 4th and Broadway in 1994 when construction of the Hard Rock Café forced him to move.
