RAVENNA, Ohio (WOIO) - Ravenna Police Department (RPD) are investigating after shots were fired as fans left the high school football game Friday evening.
According to a police report from RPD, officers assigned to cover the game heard four to six gunshots around 10:06 p.m.
Officers rushed to the area where the shots were head and heard from several witnesses the gunshots came from around the back entrance of the Ravenna High School stadium.
“They’re shooting over there,” one witness yelled.
The Ravenna Ravens were playing Kent’s Roosevelt High School’s Rough Riders.
A witness said she saw two suspicious males leave the scene quickly in an SUV. Another reported the suspects were running towards the woods.
The male teens also said they saw the suspects shoot guns into the air.
