TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kansas wildlife authorities made several big changes this month to regulations for hunting coyotes with night vision equipment, the special trout season along with hunting and fishing licenses for older adults.

Laura Clawson with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) said in a press release that commissioners made many changes to existing statutes during their meeting in August in Garden City. Many of these issues will impact hunters, anglers and others across the Sunflower State.

New license options for older adults

Kansas residents who are between the ages of 64 and 74 will soon be able to start buying three new multi-year license options. People can continue to purchase one-year licenses that remain available to older adults at half the standard adult rat
