There are so many events to highlight this week (not a bad problem to have), that I wish I could highlight many more. One big change to take note of is that the long-awaited HIERO Day festival will be held in San Francisco instead of Oakland. The event I’m most excited for as spooky season approaches is the short-run of Paranormal Cirque. Think aerial theatrics mixed with gory costumes. Some events that didn’t land on the roundup include the Xicana Power Block Party at EastSide Arts Alliance on Saturday, Aug. 30, the Pride Outdoor Movie Night screening of To Wong Foo, on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Eastshore Park on Lakeshore, and the two-week long Bay Area Queer Zine Fest from Sept. 1 to Sept. 14
