MADISON, Wis. -- Seven Wisconsin football alums had their training camp come to a somber end Tuesday, as NFL teams reduced their rosters to 53 men.
The seven Badgers who were cut were Bryson Green, Maema Njongmeta, Kendric Pryor, Jake Chaney, Hayden Rucci, Quintez Cephus and Michael Deiter.
A wide receiver out of Allen, Texas, Green transferred to Wisconsin from Oklahoma State before the 2023 season. In his two years with the Badgers, he appeared in 19 games tallying 49 catches for 699 yards with 4 touchdowns.
Njongmeta, a Cameroon-born linebacker, played four seasons with the Badgers from 2020-2023 and was signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He made the Week 1 roster last season but couldn't break through this year.
