In a small courtyard in the Telegraph District Tuesday morning the mayor snipped a red ribbon with oversized scissors and Lincoln’s latest affordable housing project at 18th and K streets was officially open for business.
Union at Antelope Valley, one of three affordable housing apartment buildings in Lincoln built by the Indiana-based developer Annex Group, has 187 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments open to people whose incomes are at or below 60% of Area Median Income.
In Lincoln, for two people that would be $51,600. For a family of three it would be $58,080. Apartments at the new complex are renting for between $929-$1,575 a month.
