Hauss Hejny is expected to be Oklahoma State's starting quarterback in the season opener against UT Martin, according to an On3 report released on Tuesday night.

Hejny has been in a quarterback battle with fellow redshirt freshman Zane Flores since last spring. OSU coach Mike Gundy declined to give an update on the starting quarterback at his media availability last week.

The Cowboys will face the Skyhawks at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Hejny saw action in four games at TCU last season before transferring to Oklahoma State. He didn't attempt a pass during his time at the Big 12 school. He rushed 15 times for 65 yards in limited action.

This is Flores' third season on campus, but he hasn't taken a snap in a game. He redshirt
