Ohio State resident advisors are tasked with keeping their residence hall décor more focused this year, in part due to Ohio’s new anti-DEI higher education law.

A spokesperson with Ohio State University told NBC affiliate WCMH that the university told RAs to stick to OSU-related themes.
In the past, advisors could decorate the hall floors with creative themes, including pop culture references and popular media.
“We are committed to providing an open and welcoming environment for all students, including in our residence halls, as we build community throughout our spaces and programming,” OSU spokesperson Dave Isaacs said . “T
