CINCINNATI —

For weeks, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has been offering more help to Cincinnati to fight its crime problem, and now, city leaders are taking him up on it.

This conversation stems in part from a viral brawl and also comes in response to some of the other violence Cincinnati has seen this summer. Advertisement

We've been told that Ohio state troopers will be coming in to help as early as this weekend.

WLWT obtained a letter sent to the governor last week from the city laying out the specific areas it's requesting help in.

Just a few weeks ago, the city agreed to bring in Ohio State Highway Patrol to help enforce traffic, now they're asking for more robust support from the Governor.
