CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cleveland man guilty of killing one woman and seriously injuring her sister while driving under the influence, will be sentenced Wednesday in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
The trial for Juan Soto, 34, began Aug. 5 in front of Judge Maureen Clancy.
A jury found him guilty on Aug. 8 of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated vehicular assault, vehicular assault, and driving while under the influence.
Cleveland Police said Soto crashed into another car at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Fulton Road in April 2024.
The impact of the crash pushed the vehicles into a nearby Rally’s restaurant, catching it on fire.
Gilmarie Quinones died from her injuries.
