AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The University of Massachusetts Amherst is pledging to bring more revenue to the region by launching the economic development initiative.
In a press release, the school shared their list of goals. Among them, finding more ways for the university to collaborate with industry, government, non-profits, and community organizations. To bring more housing, improving healthcare, and expanding transportation and services to infrastructure, and create talent pipelines for study, internships, and employment.
UMass said it’ll be a win-win for Amherst, western Massachusetts, and the entire state to accomplish those economic goals by attracting more students to the school.
