The Komets announced two new signings and two tryout agreements Tuesday, bringing their preseason roster to 24 players.

Forward Max Patterson and defenseman Jake Willets signed one-year deals while goaltenders Dylan Ernst and Henry Graham signed tryout agreements.

“They’re both guys that bring some experience,” Komets coach Jesse Kallechy said. “Max brings size and Jake brings some grit and puck moving. Really excited to have both guys.”

Patterson, 25, played six games for the Komets last season, making his pro debut against Wheeling on March 4 after four seasons at the University of Calgary. He scored 27 goals with 44 assists in 89 college games.

The Kamloops, British Columbia, native who stands 6 foot-6, also played five seasons in the WHL, winning the Ed Chynoweth Cup with the Swift
