KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Legendary VFL Peyton Manning made a major donation to help establish two endowments at the University of Tennessee's College of Communication and Information.

A release from the university said Manning donated over $4 million to help establish the Faye Julian Dean’s Chair Endowment and the John Haas Director’s Chair Endowment.

The university said the endowments would "open doors to bold ideas, innovation and a best-in-class experience for the college’s students."

The endowments were named in honor of Manning's academic mentors, who were longtime leaders at UT.
