The Anti-Fascist International has strongly rejected the presence of the nuclear submarine USS Newport News and the guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Erie in the Caribbean, very close to Venezuela.

The group, supported by more than 1500 social movements, parties, and personalities from 77 countries, strongly rejected what they consider "a provocation that puts the peace of all of Latin America and the Caribbean at risk."
