With the annual event set to kick off in Italy on Aug. 27—and run through Sept. 6—the stars were out and about to celebrate the unofficial start of awards season .

George Clooney and Amal Clooney were seen waving to crowds from their boat, with the 64-year-old keeping it casual for the ride, sporting a black polo and beige khakis along with a pair of aviator sunglasses. Amal, 47, looked effortlessly glamorous in a butter yellow, calf length dress, complete with a gold belt, white heels and a matching white bag.
