A man who allegedly posed as a police officer to hunt down and sexually assault women has been arrested in Spain.

The 33-year-old travelled around the city of Valencia on an electric scooter, choosing his victims – aged between 19 and 28 years – in the early hours of the mornings.

The Spanish newspaper Levante reported that all the attacks happened in less than a week, and that he posed as Civil Guard officer.

He threatened that he had all ‘their information’ and that they all had to do what he wanted or face ‘legal reprisals’.

The man then told them he had to do a full-body search. This is when he sexually abused all the women, taking advantage that there was no one on the street.

The incidents happened between August 15 and 18.
