Greyson Foy got the 2025 Santa Ynez football season started with a bang.

Foy returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and got the Pirates started toward a 43-22 win at Dos Pueblos last Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Foy is the first Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table (NSBCART) Athlete of the Week for the 2025-26 school year. Foy is the NSBCART Male Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 18-24.

There was no nominee for NSBCART Female Athlete of the Week.

After Foy gathered in the opening kickoff, "I started on the left side," Foy said. "Then I saw a gigantic opening on the right side, so I just cut right and took it up the sideline," for the score.

"I'd run one kickoff back for a touchdown before."
