Police are investigating a nonfatal shooting at a Hartford apartment complex on Tuesday night.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 2500 Main St. around 8:46 p.m. on a report of a party shot, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department .

Officers located a man in his 50s suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, Boisvert said.

According to Boisvert, the man was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

A initial investigation determined that the shooting took place at the Sana Apartments, located at 1630 Main St., Boisvert said.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded to the scene and assumed the ongoing investigation, according to Boisvert.
