TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The city of Troy has issued a boil water advisory for some residents and businesses in the city. The advisory is in effect for the following areas: • Douw Street to 7th Avenue • Middleburgh Street to 7th Avenue • 6th Avenue and Middleburgh Street to Hoosick Street • Orr Street to Ingalls Avenue to 7th Avenue

Officials said it is being issued out of an abundance of caution, and crews are working to complete repairs and restore service.

Residents should boil water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. They will be notified when the advisory is lifted.
