BOISE, Idaho — The fast-growing city of Star is planning a major makeover for its downtown area, with consultants now reviewing community feedback to determine the next steps in the revitalization effort.

The conversation began about six months ago. Mayor Trevor Chadwick told KTVB Star lacks a true "downtown core" like many other cities across the region.

"We have an old plan from 2011 that was very well put together, but things have changed so much since that time frame with all the folks that have moved in from all over the country here," he said, "that it's time for us to sit down and really, really look at that and come up with a good plan."
