CLEVELAND, Ohio – Viva Raw LLC of Charlotte is recalling two lots of dog and cat food due to contamination with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The recall affects products sent directly to consumers nationwide as well as select retailers in New York, Illinois, South Carolina, Florida, Kansas, California and Arizona. The product is distributed as frozen one-pound bricks in clear vacuum packaging with lot number printed atop the packaging.

The recall covers:

• Lot 21495 - Viva Ground Beef for Dogs; Viva Beef & Turkey for Puppies.

• Lot 21975 - Viva Ground Chicken for Dogs; Viva Chunked Chicken for Dogs; Viva Chicken for Cats; Viva Pure Chicken.

They were distributed between July 2 and Aug. 21.
