CLEVELAND, Ohio – Female entrepreneurs have won $6,000 at the third annual pitch competition from the Cleveland chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International .

The businesswomen in the food, beverage and hospitality industries competed recently at the Cleveland Garlic Festival for a chance to secure grant funding from the non-profit organization that promotes and supports women in the industry.

Finalists were selected from a pool of 13 applicants across the region who presented their businesses before a panel of professional judges.

Winners

First Place ($3,000): Jewels Rossi, owner, Mangia Dolce . The experience-driven catering company offers barista and bartending services from European market vehicles. Rossi plans to use the grant to invest in a European-inspired food truck.
