LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville-based distiller has received the whiskey industry’s highest honor for the third consecutive year.

Michter’s has been name the “World’s Most Admired Whiskey” by Drinks International.

The accolade comes from a global academy of 100 independent drink buyers, journalists, bartenders and whiskey experts who compile the definitive top 50 list of the world’s finest whiskies annually.

Michter’s Executive Vice President Matt Magliocco expressed gratitude for the recognition calling the honor “literally a dream.”

“This never would have happened without the tremendous support of so many individuals around the world,” he said. “All of us at Michter’s are deeply grateful to each and every one of those individuals, and we are humbled by this wonderful news.”
