(KFVS) - The mild fall-like pattern looks to continue another day or two ahead of a moderate warming trend by the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend.

Clouds will begin to stream in from the west today, but it will remain dry and pleasant with afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Tonight will be dry and relatively cool again.

A system south of the Heartland could bring a brief shower or sprinkles along the southeast Missouri and Arkansas border on Thursday, but any significant rain is not likely.

By the end of the week and into the Labor Day weekend, it will be slightly warmer and more humid, but still relatively nice for late summer.

Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 80s with lows around 60 degrees.

Rain chances remain tiny this weekend, but could increase by the middle of next week.
