RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Charlotte man, according to the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons.
Officials say 76-year-old James Ingram Mullis was traveling with another person and following each other from Wilmington, N.C., to his home in Charlotte.
The other traveler says they lost sight of Mullis and think he may have taken the wrong exit on Highway 74 towards Asheboro. They reported him missing when he never returned to his home in Charlotte.
Mullis is believed to be impacted by dementia or Alzheimer's. He is described as a white man standing 6 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 300 pounds. He has blue eyes and short gray hair.
