MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — Crews from several fire departments worked for several hours Tuesday night to contain a large barn fire in Morgan County.
The fire was reported around 9 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 6400 block of Maple Grove Road , around eight miles northeast of downtown Martinsville.
Responding crews found a roughly 7,000-square-foot barn with hay, straw and equipment heavily engulfed in flames, with parts of the barn already starting to collapse, Green Township Fire Rescue said in a social media post .
Over 30 fire responders from at least six fire departments worked for roughly three hours to bring the fire under control, with one slight firefighter injury and no civilian injuries reported.
