ORLANDO, Fla. – The driest day of the week has arrived on Wednesday before Central Florida shifts into a stormier stretch for the holiday weekend.

Wednesday & Thursday

Expect a break from the widespread rain, but not a total dry-out, with coverage at 30-40%.

Afternoon and evening storms remain possible, especially near the coast. Rain Chances Wednesday

Coverage increases Thursday, with a few storms capable of producing gusty winds and dangerous lightning.

Highs will stay in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Friday-Labor Day

The weather will be reinforced by another front on Friday.
